VoiceThread Topic: Book Talk over Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Theoretical foundation: Constructivism
Objectives: The student will create a VoiceThread account. The student will give a brief book talk over Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in VoiceThread. The student will upload pictures that represent major parts of the storyline. The student will add a caption for each picture.
Audience: The intended audience of this assignment is a 5th grade special education English class.
Instructional Design: This assignment will be completed using VoiceThread. I will provide the students with an example book talk to show them what is expected of them. They will be given instructions to create an account on VoiceThread, upload at least 5 pictures, and give a caption for each of those five pictures.
Evaluation Strategy: The student will be evaluated on 4 things:
Their ability to create an account on VoiceThread (5 points)
The overall book talk (20 points)
Uploading at least 5 pictures (15 points, 3 pts each)
At least one caption per picture (10 points, 2 pts each)
Give a brief description of the work.
